¿Tu marco está fuera de línea?
Sometimes, your frame might show a "Connected" status to your Wi-Fi, but it still appears "Offline" in the app. This usually means the frame is linked to your router but cannot reach the internet to sync new photos.
Follow this guide to get your digital photo frame back online.
Step 1: Verify the Connection Status
Before diving into technical settings, check what the frame is actually reporting:
- Open Settings on your frame.
- Select the Network/Wi-Fi menu.
- Look at the Connection Status:
- "Connected": Your frame is online and ready.
- "Unknown" or "No Internet": The frame is connected to the router, but the router isn't providing internet access.
Step 2: The Quick Fix (Reboot)
Most connectivity issues are resolved by a simple power cycle:
- Unplug the power adapter from your Pexar digital picture frame, wait 10 seconds, and plug it back in.
- Restart your router/modem. Wait about 5–10 minutes for the network to fully stabilize and for the frame to reconnect.
Step 3: Deep Dive Troubleshooting
If a reboot doesn't work, there may be a specific setting in your network environment blocking the frame:
1. Wi-Fi Frequency (2.4 GHz)
Pexar digital picture frames are optimized for 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi because of its superior range and ability to pass through walls.
- Ensure your router has the 2.4 GHz band enabled.
- If you have a "Mesh" or "Smart Connect" system that merges 2.4G and 5G, try moving the frame closer to the router during the initial setup.
2. Wi-Fi Channels (Avoid Channels 12–14)
In some regions, Wi-Fi channels 12, 13, and 14 are restricted. If your router is manually set to these channels, the frame may not detect the network.
- Ensure your 2.4 GHz signal is operating on Channels 1 through 11.
3. Network Protocol (IPv4 Required)
Pexar requires a local IPv4 address (DHCP) to communicate.
- The frame does not currently support local-only IPv6 configurations. Most standard home routers provide IPv4 by default, but if you are on a highly customized corporate or "IPv6-only" network, please contact your network administrator to enable IPv4/DHCPv4.
4. Guest Networks & Captive Portals
- Guest Networks: Many guest networks have "time-out" periods (e.g., you must re-accept terms every 24 hours). This will cause the frame to go offline frequently. We recommend using a standard, password-protected private network.
- Captive Portals: If your Wi-Fi requires a web-page login (common in hotels or offices), the frame may not be able to bypass this security layer.
