How do I customize my Pexar App frame?
Pexar frames adapt to your room, your routine, and your preferences. Here's how to fine-tune the details so your frame feels just right.
Adjust the Slideshow Speed
Want your photos to linger longer, or flip by faster? You're in control.
On the frame, tap the Settings icon, then go to Slideshow. Choose your favorite interval from:
- Seconds: 3, 5, 10, 15, 30
- Minutes: 1, 2, 5, 10, 15, 30
- Hours: 1, 2, 5, 12, 24
Note: These are the only slideshow speeds currently supported. Custom intervals outside this list aren't available.
Set Sleep Mode
Sleep Mode keeps your frame on during the day to keep you connected with loved ones, and quietly off at night so it doesn't disturb your rest.
Step 1: On the frame, tap Settings > Display.
Step 2: Toggle Sleep Mode on.
Step 3: Set an automatic sleep time, wake-up time, and the days of the week you'd like the schedule to apply.
Tip: A common setup is 10:00 PM sleep, 7:00 AM wake, applied all week. Adjust to fit your household rhythm.
Set the Order of Photos and Videos
Pexar offers three ways to control how your photos and videos appear on the frame.
1. Shuffle (found under Slideshow settings)
Plays all photos and videos in a random order. Newly added items will appear in upcoming playback, though not necessarily right away — it's normal for items to appear with different frequency in this mode.
Tip: To keep surprises coming, keep adding new photos and invite more family and friends to contribute.
2. Chronological (found under Slideshow settings)
Plays items by the date they were taken, starting with the oldest. The playback loops back to the start once the most recent item is reached.
3. View Options (found in the Gallery)
Sort your content by Date Captured or Date Received, and choose Newest First or Oldest First. These settings also shape the slideshow playback order.
Adjust Brightness, Language, Notifications, and Widgets
Adjust Brightness: In Settings > Display, slide the brightness bar left or right to match your room's lighting.
Change Language and Time Zone: In Settings > General, pick your preferred language and set the correct time zone so your frame displays local time.
Manage Notifications: Choose what your frame notifies you about. Available types:
- New Photos: When new photos arrive.
- New Members: When someone joins the frame.
- Wi-Fi Connection: When your frame goes offline.
- Storage Space: When storage is running low.
- Software Update: When a new version is available.
Show or Hide Widgets: In Slideshow settings, decide whether to display the Caption, Clock, and Profile Photo while your memories play.
